The Sackville Business Association (SBA) is a coalition of property owners and tenants dedicated to promoting business development and improving the area’s quality of life. The SBA represents business and commercial property owners located within the Sackville Drive Secondary Planning area in addition to the portion of Sackville Drive between Beaver Bank Road and Millwood Drive. This includes approximately 300 businesses.
Sackville is one of several Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in HRM. A BID covers a specific geographic area and can only be established through a by-law passed by municipal council, at the request of the local business community. Both property owners and tenants located in the district are automatically members.
The Association serves its members through marketing & promotional programs, street beautification, events and advocacy.
